Verse 5.70.8

आत्मध्यानमयोऽध्याने प्रबोधं परमात्मनः ।
कलनामलनिर्मुक्तः स्वसक्त इति कथ्यते ॥ ८ ॥

ātmadhyānamayo'dhyāne prabodhaṃ paramātmanaḥ |
kalanāmalanirmuktaḥ svasakta iti kathyate || 8 ||

It is impossible to evade the impressions of the outer world, until and unless the mind is strengthened in itself. It becomes strong by its knowledge of the Supreme Spirit, removing the foulness of its fancied objects, and by meditation and enjoyment of the light of the soul, even when the mind is not in its meditative mood.
