The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

आत्मारामतया जीवो यात्यसंसङ्गतामिह ।
आत्मज्ञानेन संसङ्गस्तनुतामेति नान्यथा ॥ ९ ॥

ātmārāmatayā jīvo yātyasaṃsaṅgatāmiha |
ātmajñānena saṃsaṅgastanutāmeti nānyathā || 9 ||

It is by means of Spiritual communion and internal rapture, that the mind loses its attachments; and it is only by knowledge of the soul and in no other way, that our worldly associations wear out of themselves.
