The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अयमेतावतैवात्मा त्रातो भवति राघव ।
यदपास्य विमूढत्वमहंकारः प्रमार्ज्यते ॥ ४२ ॥

ayametāvataivātmā trāto bhavati rāghava |
yadapāsya vimūḍhatvamahaṃkāraḥ pramārjyate || 42 ||

It is by these means, O Rama, that the soul has its salvation; therefore cast away your ignorance, and wipe off your egoism.
