The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

आवयोरन्तरं भूरि जन्मव्यवहितान्तरम् ।
अदूरमद्य संपन्नं दिष्ट्या दृष्टोऽसि बान्धव ॥ ५ ॥

āvayorantaraṃ bhūri janmavyavahitāntaram |
adūramadya saṃpannaṃ diṣṭyā dṛṣṭo'si bāndhava || 5 ||

Great is the distance between us, even as the distance of the places of our birth, it is my good fortune of friend! that has brought thee near me today, and presented thee to my sight.
