Yoga Vasistha [sanskrit]

223,437 words | ISBN-10: 8171101519

The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.34.21

अनेनैताः स्फुरन्तीह विचित्रेन्द्रियपङ्क्तयः ।
सर्वगेन निदाघेन यथा मरुमरीचिकाः ॥ २१ ॥

anenaitāḥ sphurantīha vicitrendriyapaṅktayaḥ |
sarvagena nidāghena yathā marumarīcikāḥ || 21 ||

It is this principle which unfolds itself, into the forms of the different organs of sense also; as the all-diffusive heat of the hot season, shows itself in the shape of mirage in sandy deserts.
