The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

सत्त्वस्यजातिभिर्धीरैस्त्वादृशैर्गुणबृंहितैः ।
हेलया त्यज्यते पक्वा मायेयं त्वगिवोरगैः ॥ ३ ॥

sattvasyajātibhirdhīraistvādṛśairguṇabṛṃhitaiḥ |
helayā tyajyate pakvā māyeyaṃ tvagivoragaiḥ || 3 ||

Men born with the satvika nature of goodness like yourself, easily lay aside this inveterate illusion, as a snake casts off its time-worn skin.
