The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.40.22

अयमस्मात्समुत्पन्न इतीयं या जगत्स्थितिः ।
आधिक्यं तत्क्रियाशक्तौ जन्यं जनकमेव वा ॥ २२ ॥

ayamasmātsamutpanna itīyaṃ yā jagatsthitiḥ |
ādhikyaṃ tatkriyāśaktau janyaṃ janakameva vā || 22 ||

The first form is applied to the world as proceeding from Brahma:but the other form of the producer and produced, means also the creative power which made the world.
