The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

ईक्षणादिषु रन्ध्रेषु प्रसरन्ती बहिर्मयम् ।
नानाकारविकाराढ्यं रूपमात्मनि पश्यति ॥ १८ ॥

īkṣaṇādiṣu randhreṣu prasarantī bahirmayam |
nānākāravikārāḍhyaṃ rūpamātmani paśyati || 18 ||

The mind circulates about the outer world, through the passages of sight and other organs; and sees within itself the forms of many mutable shapes and figures.
