The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

चण्डालत्वं हि लवणे प्रतिभासवशाद्यथा ।
तथेदं जगदाभोगि मनो मननमात्रकम् ॥ ५० ॥

caṇḍālatvaṃ hi lavaṇe pratibhāsavaśādyathā |
tathedaṃ jagadābhogi mano mananamātrakam || 50 ||

As the king Lavana believed himself to be a chandala for some time, so do we believe ourselves to be so and so, by the thoughts of our minds.
