The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

संकल्पवासनाजालैः स्वयमायाति बन्धनम् ।
मनो लालामयैर्जालैः कोशकारकृमिर्यथा ॥ ३९ ॥

saṃkalpavāsanājālaiḥ svayamāyāti bandhanam |
mano lālāmayairjālaiḥ kośakārakṛmiryathā || 39 ||

The mind is entrapped in the net of its own wishes, as the silk worm is entwined in the cocoon by the thread of its own making.
