The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

रत्नसूचीव मसृणा मनोमननसंयुता ।
वैदूर्यरश्मिलेखेव भानुसंतानसुन्दरी ॥ ७ ॥

ratnasūcīva masṛṇā manomananasaṃyutā |
vaidūryaraśmilekheva bhānusaṃtānasundarī || 7 ||

Her mind with its power of thought, appeared as bright as a golden needle (pointing to the point); and as a streak of the sapphire impregnated by solar ray.
