The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

सूक्ष्मया मायया सर्वलोकहिंसां करिष्यसि ।
दुर्भोजना दुरारम्भा मूर्खा दुःस्थितयश्च ये ॥ १० ॥
sūkṣmayā māyayā sarvalokahiṃsāṃ kariṣyasi |
durbhojanā durārambhā mūrkhā duḥsthitayaśca ye || 10 ||
“Thou shalt be the cruel cause of acute pain and pang to all living being; and particularly to the intemperate and hard-working fools, and loose libertines, who are destined to be thy devoted victims”.
