The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

उदभूत्प्रथमं बाष्प उष्णोऽनलनिभो भुवः ।
पातालादभ्रवृन्दानां युद्धायेवात्तविभ्रमः ॥ ८२ ॥

udabhūtprathamaṃ bāṣpa uṣṇo'nalanibho bhuvaḥ |
pātālādabhravṛndānāṃ yuddhāyevāttavibhramaḥ || 82 ||

Huge mists rising at first in the form of vapours of the earth, and then borne aloft by the heated air into the sky, seemed like titans to rise from the infernal regions.
