The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

क इवास्मिन्परित्राता स्यादित्यादीनवीक्षितैः ।
उत्पलालीव वर्षद्भिः परिरोदितसैनिकाः ॥ ५९ ॥

ka ivāsminparitrātā syādityādīnavīkṣitaiḥ |
utpalālīva varṣadbhiḥ pariroditasainikāḥ || 59 ||

"Ah! who will save them from this state," cried the royal soldiers, with their piteous looks on the sad plight of the females and shedding big drops of their tears like lotuses.
