The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

जगाम पित्रानुज्ञातो महत्या सेनयावृतः ।
वराहमहिषाकीर्णं वनमाखेटकेच्छया ॥ ९ ॥

jagāma pitrānujñāto mahatyā senayāvṛtaḥ |
varāhamahiṣākīrṇaṃ vanamākheṭakecchayā || 9 ||

He used also to go out for sport under orders of his father; and surrounded by a large number of troops, to forests full of (wild) boars and buffaloes.
