Besides covering a vast amount of encyclopedic topcs, the Brahmanda Purana also contains a copy of the Adhyatma Ramayana as well as the Lalita Sahasranama.

Traditionally, the Brahmandapurana is said to consist of 12,000 verses metrical Sanskrit verses, however, the more important manuscript contains over 14,000 shlokas.

Original Sanskrit title: Brahmāṇḍapurāṇa (ब्रह्माण्डपुराण) or Brahmāṇḍa-purāṇa (ब्रह्माण्ड पुराण).
