The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 1.2.111; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

११ - अथ श्री-कृष्ण-विमुख-जन-संत्यागो, यथा कात्यायन-संहितायाम् —
वरं हुत-वह-ज्वाला-पञ्जरान्तर्-व्यवस्थितिः ।
न शौरि-चिन्ता-विमुख-जन-संवास-वैशसम् ॥१.२.१११॥

11 - atha śrī-kṛṣṇa-vimukha-jana-saṃtyāgo, yathā kātyāyana-saṃhitāyām —
varaṃ huta-vaha-jvālā-pañjarāntar-vyavasthitiḥ |
na śauri-cintā-vimukha-jana-saṃvāsa-vaiśasam
||1.2.111||

English translation

Giving up the association of those opposed to Kṛṣṇa, from the Kātyāyana-saṃhitā:
“It is preferable to remain within a cage of blazing fire than to have the misfortune of living in association with persons who are opposed to thinking of the Lord.”
