Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. छन्नमायोधनं रेजे कुण्डलाङ्गदधारिभिः ।
पतितैः पात्यमानैश्च राजपुत्रैर्महारथैः ॥ १२७ ॥

channamāyodhanaṃ reje kuṇḍalāṅgadadhāribhiḥ |
patitaiḥ pātyamānaiśca rājaputrairmahārathaiḥ || 127 ||
