Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. तत्रापरे वध्यमाना मुहुर्मुहुरचेतसः ।
शिबिरान्निष्पतन्ति स्म क्षत्रिया भयपीडिताः ॥ ९९ ॥

tatrāpare vadhyamānā muhurmuhuracetasaḥ |
śibirānniṣpatanti sma kṣatriyā bhayapīḍitāḥ || 99 ||
