Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. Verse 10.8.19

तुदन्नखैस्तु स द्रौणिं नातिव्यक्तमुदाहरत् ।
आचार्यपुत्र शस्त्रेण जहि मा मा चिरं कृथाः ।
त्वत्कृते सुकृतांल्लोकान्गच्छेयं द्विपदां वर ॥ १९ ॥
