The Lakshminarayana Samhita verse 1.203.34 (Sanskrit text), including grammatical analysis, glossary and relevant print editions. The work is written in Puranic style and divided into four books according to the four Yugas. This is verse 34 of chapter 203 of Khanda 1 (krita-yuga-santana). वृद्धं निःस्वं तथा रुग्णं पतिं सा प्रेक्षतेऽप्रियम् ।
श्ववत् लोकाचारभयाद् ददात्याहारमल्पकम् ॥ ३४ ॥

vṛddhaṃ niḥsvaṃ tathā rugṇaṃ patiṃ sā prekṣate'priyam |
śvavat lokācārabhayād dadātyāhāramalpakam || 34 ||
