कच्चित् कदचिद् व्रजम् अगमिस्यति करोति किम् तत्र हरिर् वदचु मे अद्यैव यत्नेन ध्र्तह् किलसवह् प्रसह्य निर्यन्ति म्र्स-गिरतुरह्

kaccit kadacid vrajam agamisyati karoti kim tatra harir vadacu me adyaiva yatnena dhrtah kilasavah prasahya niryanti mrsa-giraturah

kaccit—whether?; kadacit—sometime; vrajam—to Vraja; agamisyati—will return; karotidoes; kim—what?; tatra—there; harih—Krsna; vadatell; acu—at once; me—to Me; adyanow; eva—indeed; yatnena—with care; dhrtah—held; kilaindeed; asavah—life-breath; prasahya—forcibly; niryanti—leaves; mrsa-giraby lies; aturah—troubled.

English translation of verse 5.16.10:

Will Krsna return? What does He do there. Please tell Me. With a great struggle

I have held onto My life-breath. If you torture it with many lies, it will quickly escape.
