श्री-भगवान् उवाच
अहो ऽति-धन्या मथुरा पुरीयं
वसन्ति यत्रैव जनास् तु सौम्याः
ये ऽज्ञात-पन्थान् स्व-गृहं नयन्ति
दृष्ट्वा पुरीं धाम तवागमिष्ये
śrī-bhagavān uvāca
aho 'ti-dhanyā mathurā purīyaṃ
vasanti yatraiva janās tu saumyāḥ
ye 'jñāta-panthān sva-gṛhaṃ nayanti
dṛṣṭvā purīṃ dhāma tavāgamiṣye
śrī-bhagavān uvāca—the Supreme Personality of Godhead said; ahaḥ—Oh; ati—very; dhanya—opulent; mathurā—Mathurā; purī—City; iyam—this; vasanti—reside; yatra—where; eva—indeed; janāḥ—people; tu—indeed; saumyāḥ—beautiful; ye—who; ajñāta-panthān—whose path is not known; sva-gṛham—to their own home; nayanti—take; dṛṣṭvā—seeing; purīm—the city; dhāma—the abode; tava—of you; āgamiṣye—I will come.
English translation of verse 5.6.20:
The Supreme Personality of Godhead said: Very beautiful and kind people, who take even strangers to be guests at their homes, live here. That is why Mathurā City is blessed with such opulences. After I have finished sightseeing in the city I will surely visit your home.
