The Garga-samhita Verse 2.17.3, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. श्री-नारद उवाच
राधिकायश् च विज्ञाय
तुलसी-सेवने तपः
प्रीतिं परीक्षिन् छ्री-कृष्णो
वृषभानु-पुरं ययौ

śrī-nārada uvāca
rādhikāyaś ca vijñāya
tulasī-sevane tapaḥ
prītiṃ parīkṣin chrī-kṛṣṇo
vṛṣabhānu-puraṃ yayau

śrī-nāradaḥ uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; rādhikāyaś—of Rādhā; ca—and; vijñāya—understanding; tulasī-sevane—service to Tulasī; tapaḥausterity; prītim—love; parīkṣitexamining; chrī-kṛṣṇaḥŚrī Kṛṣṇa; vṛṣabhānu-puramto Vṛṣabhānu's palace; yayau—went.

English translation of verse 2.17.3:

Śrī Nārada said: Understanding the austerity Rādhā had undergone in Her service to Tulasī, and wishing to test Rādhā's love, Śrī Kṛṣṇa went to King Vṛṣabhānu's palace.
