The Sanskrit text of the Dhanurveda-samhita attributed to Vasishtha. Dhanur Veda is a type of ancient India science whose roots date to the 2nd millenium BCE. It is counted among the Upavedas literature. This specific version of the Dhanurveda contains roughly 240 sections of Sanskrit text.

कठिनं वर्त्तुलं काण्डं गृह्वीयात्सुप्रदेशजम् ।
द्वौ हस्तौ मुष्टिहीनौ च दैर्घ्ये स्थूले कनिष्ठिका ।
विधेयाः शरमानेषु यन्त्रेष्वाकर्षयेत्ततः ॥ ५९ ॥

kaṭhinaṃ varttulaṃ kāṇḍaṃ gṛhvīyātsupradeśajam |
dvau hastau muṣṭihīnau ca dairghye sthūle kaniṣṭhikā |
vidheyāḥ śaramāneṣu yantreṣvākarṣayettataḥ || 59 ||

A hard round stem should be taken from a good area. The two hands were without fists, and the lower part was thick in length. Then one should place the arrows on the instruments and pull them.
