The Chaitanya Bhagavata 1.8.83, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 83 of Adi-khanda chapter 8—“The Disappearance of Jagannatha Mishra”.

ইহা দেখি’ মিশ্রচন্দ্র চিন্তেন অন্তরে “ডাকিনী দানবে পাছে পুত্রে বল করে” ॥ ৮৩ ॥
इहा देखि’ मिश्रचन्द्र चिन्तेन अन्तरे “डाकिनी दानवे पाछे पुत्रे बल करे” ॥ ८३ ॥
ihā dekhi’ miśracandra cintena antare “ḍākinī dānave pāche putre bala kare” || 83 ||
iha dekhi’ misracandra cintena antare “dakini danave pache putre bala kare” (83)
English translation:
(83) Seeing the beauty of his son, Jagannātha Miśra thought, “I’m afraid that my son may be attacked by ghosts or demons.”
Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:
The word ḍākinī refers to a female follower of Rudra, a follower of Bhadrakālī, a witch, or a sorceress.
The word dānava refers to the sons of Danu, the wife of Kaśyapa Muni and daughter of Prajāpati Dakṣa.
The words bala kare mean “to overpower” or “to influence.”
