The Sanskrit edition of the Apastamba Grihya-sutra with the commentaries of Haradatta (called the Anakula-vritti) and Sudarshana (called the Grihyatatparyadarshana-vyakhya). The Apastamba Grihyasutra is a short treatise on Vedic rituals which, together with the Hiranyakeshin-grihya-sutra, belongs to the Taittiriya School of the Black Yajur-Veda. atheti vacanādetasyāmava rātryāṃ sthālīpāko bhavati /
sthālyāṃ pacyata iti sthālīpākaḥ /
tasya devatāvidhānaṃ-āgneyoneti /

nanu-vidhāsyate"agnirdevatā svāhākārapradāna"iti, satyam, aparamapi tatra bhavati-agnisviṣṭakṛt dvitīya iti /
tataśca sa eva yadi devatāvidhiḥ syāt dvidevatyamidaṃ haviḥ syāt /
tataśca nirvapaṇakāle tābhyāmubhābhyāṃ saṅkalpaḥ kriyeta /
yadyapi vastuto giṇabhūtaḥ sviṣṭakṛdyāgaḥ tathāpi pradhānavat tatra codyate-'agnisviṣṭakṛdvitīya'iti /
tataśca tasmā api saṅkalpaḥ kriyeta /
tasmāt kevalo'yamāgneyasthālīpāka iti /

nanu-'atha patnyavahanti''śrapayitvā'ityetāvadeva vaktavyam;yatauttaratra'agnirdevatā'(āpa.gṛ.7-5) iti vidhānādāgneyatvaṃ siddham'; sthālīpākeneti tu śrapayitveti vidhānāt, enāṃ yājayatīti cānvārabdhāyāmiti vidhānāt;ataḥ kimarthamidamadhikamārabhyate'athaināmāgneyena sthālīpākena yājayati'iti ? ucyete sūtraṃ tāvadṛṣipraṇītaṃ nānarthakaṃ bhavitumarhati /
tena loke vyutpattisiddhādhyāhārādibhirapi yassūtrasyārthassampādyate so'pi vedārthonuṣṭheya ucyate-dhruvamarundhatīṃ ca darśayitvā, anantaraṃ yatrāgneyena sthālīpākena yāgaṃ karoti tatraivaināṃ patnīṃ yājayati patnyāmanvārabdhāyāṃ juhoti, na parvasu pārvaṇavikāreṣu ca /

kecit- uttaratra na kevalamagnirdevateti vidhiḥ,'agnissviṣṭakṛt dvitīyaḥ ityapi /
tena dvidaivatyo'yaṃ sthālīpāko bhūta, kintvekadaivatya evetyevamarthamāgneyeneti vidhānam /
tenāgneya eva saṅkalpitasya vrīhyāderarthākṣipto laukiko nirvāpaḥ kāryaḥ /
'enāṃ yājayati'iti tu nāsmin karmaṇyubhayoradhikāraḥ, kintu vadhvā eva /
varastu ṛtviksthānīyaḥ /
tena homādau dravyatyāgasstrīdhanādeveti /
