The Buddha Carita (Saddharma-pundarika) by Asvaghosa a famous Sanskrit text revolving around the live and exploits of the Buddha. The Buddha Carita (Buddhacarita) is written in the style of a Kavya (or Mahakavya, epic poetry) and extant original Sanskrit text consists of roughly 1,000 metrical verses.

Verse 1.36

श्रीमद्विताने कनकोज्ज्वलाङ्गे वैडूर्यपादे शयने शयानम् ।
यद्गौरवात्काञ्चनपद्महस्ता यक्षाधिपाः सम्परिवार्य तस्थुः ॥ ३६ ॥

śrīmadvitāne kanakojjvalāṅge vaiḍūryapāde śayane śayānam |
yadgauravātkāñcanapadmahastā yakṣādhipāḥ samparivārya tasthuḥ || 36 ||

His body lay on a bed with a royal canopy and a frame shining with gold, and supported by feet of lapis lazuli, and in his honour the yaksha-lords stood round guarding him with golden lotuses in their hands.
