This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 96.14

मारपक्षं अभ्याहत्यं मारसेनाग्रसूदन ।
दक्षिणेन व व्यूहन्तो उच्छ्रयेसि जिनध्वजं ॥ १४ ॥

mārapakṣaṃ abhyāhatyaṃ mārasenāgrasūdana |
dakṣiṇena va vyūhanto ucchrayesi jinadhvajaṃ || 14 ||

“Smiting Mara’s troops, routing Mara’s ranks, scattering them with thy right hand, thou dost raise thy Conqueror’s banner.” (14)
