This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

दिव्यं च रतनचूर्णं अन्तरीक्षातो ओसिरे ।
अक्षमात्राहि धाराहि बुद्धक्षेत्रं स्फरी इमं ॥ ७ ॥

divyaṃ ca ratanacūrṇaṃ antarīkṣāto osire |
akṣamātrāhi dhārāhi buddhakṣetraṃ spharī imaṃ || 7 ||

A celestial powder of jewels rained down from the sky. This Buddha-field was spread all over with a rain of flowers the size of a dice. (7)
