This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 64.504

न तीव्ररागो भवति न तीव्रदोषो न तीव्रमोहो भवति मनुष्यलोके ।
चरन्त शुद्धं अशबलब्रह्मचर्यं करोति अर्थं अपरिमित-अनन्तं ॥ ५०४ ॥

na tīvrarāgo bhavati na tīvradoṣo na tīvramoho bhavati manuṣyaloke |
caranta śuddhaṃ aśabalabrahmacaryaṃ karoti arthaṃ aparimita-anantaṃ || 504 ||

In the world of men he does not become fierce in passion, hatred and folly. But living the pure, untarnished holy life he works infinite endless good. (504)
