This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 54.20

अयं सो लुब्धको एति कृष्णो नीलाम्बरप्रावृतो ।
यो मे चर्मं च मान्सं च च्छिन्दित्वा मह्यं हनिष्यति ॥ २० ॥

ayaṃ so lubdhako eti kṛṣṇo nīlāmbaraprāvṛto |
yo me carmaṃ ca mānsaṃ ca cchinditvā mahyaṃ haniṣyati || 20 ||

Lo, here comes the hunter, a black man dressed in blue, who will rend my skin and flesh, and slay me. (20)
