The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

या ध्याने ध्यातृलक्षाणां साध्वी भार्यात्वमागता ।
तत्कल्पनानुभवनं तेषां सत्त्वात्मनि स्थितम् ॥ ९ ॥

yā dhyāne dhyātṛlakṣāṇāṃ sādhvī bhāryātvamāgatā |
tatkalpanānubhavanaṃ teṣāṃ sattvātmani sthitam || 9 ||

The one pure maiden that is thought of being taken to wife, by many men in their minds; is never defiled by any one of them in her character, by their simple enjoyment of her ideal only.
