The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

भावाभावेषु कार्येषु जरामरणजन्मसु ।
ज्ञ आजवं जवीभावे तिष्ठन्नपि न तिष्ठति ॥ ९ ॥

bhāvābhāveṣu kāryeṣu jarāmaraṇajanmasu |
jña ājavaṃ javībhāve tiṣṭhannapi na tiṣṭhati || 9 ||

Whether in plenty or poverty, or in birth, death or disease; or in the troubles and turmoils of the world, the wise man remains unshaken, though he may be overpowered by them.
