The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.175.53

एवमेव कचत्यच्छा छायेयं स्वा महाचितेः ।
न च किंचन नामाङ्ग कचत्यच्छैवमास्थिता ॥ ५३ ॥

evameva kacatyacchā chāyeyaṃ svā mahāciteḥ |
na ca kiṃcana nāmāṅga kacatyacchaivamāsthitā || 53 ||

Thus the supreme spirit reflects the shadow of its great Intellect, in the forms of creation and dream; hence neither is this creation nor the vision in dreaming, any thing in its substance than a mere shadow.
