223,437 words | ISBN-10: 8171101519

The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.174.16

सम्यग्बोधैकघनता यासौ ध्यानमिति स्मृतम् ।
दृश्यात्यन्तासंभवात्म बोधमाहुः परं पदम् ॥ १६ ॥

samyagbodhaikaghanatā yāsau dhyānamiti smṛtam |
dṛśyātyantāsaṃbhavātma bodhamāhuḥ paraṃ padam || 16 ||

It is the density or depth of pansophy, and the intensity of excogitation; and there being an entire absence of the retrospect of the phenomenals in it, it is known as the state of perfect transcendentalism or glory.
