The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

कालमल्पमनल्पं च स्वप्नजाग्रदितीह धीः ।
वर्तमानानुभवनसाम्यात्तुल्ये तयोर्द्वयोः ॥ २६ ॥

kālamalpamanalpaṃ ca svapnajāgraditīha dhīḥ |
vartamānānubhavanasāmyāttulye tayordvayoḥ || 26 ||

The shortness and length of time, occupied by the two states of dreaming and waking, is generally considered to constitute the difference between them; but during the time of their presence, they are both considered alike the other.
