The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

ब्रह्मादिमानसोऽप्यस्य सोऽप्यन्यत्र चिदम्बरे ।
इत्यपर्यवसानेयं शान्तैका चिन्नभोगतिः ॥ ५६ ॥

brahmādimānaso'pyasya so'pyanyatra cidambare |
ityaparyavasāneyaṃ śāntaikā cinnabhogatiḥ || 56 ||

The will in the Divine Mind, is the source of the creative mind of Brahma, which in its turn gives rise to the minds of the first patriarchs, who transmit it to others in endless progression, all of which proceed from the first quiet and calm intellect, through the medium of vacuum.
