The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

जाग्रत्स्वप्नश्च चिद्भानमात्रमेवान्यतात्र का ।
जाग्रति स्वप्ननगरे वेदनात्सदृशात्मकम् ॥ २७ ॥

jāgratsvapnaśca cidbhānamātramevānyatātra kā |
jāgrati svapnanagare vedanātsadṛśātmakam || 27 ||

The appearances of things, both in the sleeping and waking states of men, are the mere reflections of their minds;and they remain the same whether when one is waking or lying in the visionary city of his dreams.
