The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

ज्वरज्वालितमाकारं भुवनं तप्तमग्निवत् ।
पांसूपहतदेशानि दिङ्मुखानि च खानि च ॥ ३० ॥

jvarajvālitamākāraṃ bhuvanaṃ taptamagnivat |
pāṃsūpahatadeśāni diṅmukhāni ca khāni ca || 30 ||

It sees the earth burning as a flaming furnace with all its lands and places hid under the ashes, and a dark cloud of dust covering the face of the sky on all sides.
