The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

संविद्द्वितयकोशस्थे मिश्रिते अप्यमिश्रिते ।
ते उभे जगती भाते समे क्षीरजले यथा ॥ ८ ॥

saṃviddvitayakośasthe miśrite apyamiśrite |
te ubhe jagatī bhāte same kṣīrajale yathā || 8 ||

And though my consciousness was united with his in the same body, yet it was not wholly assimilated with his (owing to the difference of our desires); but they view the world respectively, in the different lights of milk and water.
