The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

नाद्यापि तैरविद्याया लब्धोऽन्तो भ्रान्तिबुद्धिभिः ।
अनन्तेयमविद्येयमज्ञानपरिबृंहिता ॥ ९ ॥

nādyāpi tairavidyāyā labdho'nto bhrāntibuddhibhiḥ |
ananteyamavidyeyamajñānaparibṛṃhitā || 9 ||

The two former have not yet arrived at the end of their nescience, but have being grovelling in darkness by their blindness to the light of truth; which can hardly dispel the darkness, that is continually spread by ignorance.
