The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.106.34

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
असद्रूपस्य दृश्यस्य कारणाभावतः सदा ।
दृश्यतास्येत्यपि प्रौढिनिर्देशस्यात्यसंभवात् ॥ ३४ ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
asadrūpasya dṛśyasya kāraṇābhāvataḥ sadā |
dṛśyatāsyetyapi prauḍhinirdeśasyātyasaṃbhavāt || 34 ||

Vasishtha replied:—There being no assignable cause, for the appearance of the unreal visibles; their vision is but a deception, and yet it [is] maintained as true by the dogmatism of opponents.
