The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.85.1

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
इति नृत्यति सा देवी दीर्घदोर्दण्डमण्डलैः ।
परिस्पन्दात्मकैर्व्योम कुर्वाणा घनकाननम् ॥ १ ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
iti nṛtyati sā devī dīrghadordaṇḍamaṇḍalaiḥ |
parispandātmakairvyoma kurvāṇā ghanakānanam || 1 ||

Vasishtha continued:—Thus the goddess was dancing with her outstretched arms, which with their movements appeared to make a shaking forest of tall pines in the empty sky.
