The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.68.37

प्रत्यक्ष एव भावत्वे नष्टे क्वेवानुमादयः ।
उह्यन्ते वारणा यत्र तत्रोर्णायुषु का कथा ॥ ३७ ॥

pratyakṣa eva bhāvatve naṣṭe kvevānumādayaḥ |
uhyante vāraṇā yatra tatrorṇāyuṣu kā kathā || 37 ||

The sensibles being proved as unreal, there can be no reality in their perceptions and thoughts also; it is impossible for a spider to maintain its web before a storm, which blows away an elephant.
