The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.66.15

बुद्ध्यादिरहितां स्पन्दसंविदं वायवीमिव ।
स्थावरं जंगमं चैव सूक्ष्ममादाय जायते ॥ १५ ॥

buddhyādirahitāṃ spandasaṃvidaṃ vāyavīmiva |
sthāvaraṃ jaṃgamaṃ caiva sūkṣmamādāya jāyate || 15 ||

Here all creatures are impelled by their desires to their mental and bodily activities, as if moved to and fro by the flying winds, and are thus led to repeated births and deaths.
