The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.54.28

स्वमेवाभासते तस्य रूपं स्पन्द इवानिले ।
सर्गशब्दार्थकलना नेह काश्चन सन्ति नः ॥ २८ ॥

svamevābhāsate tasya rūpaṃ spanda ivānile |
sargaśabdārthakalanā neha kāścana santi naḥ || 28 ||

It appears in the mind as empty air, and fluctuates there with the oscillation of the wind; there is nothing of its substantiality in the mind, nor even an idea of its creation (or being a created thing), as the word sarga is meant to express.
