The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.45.33

तज्ज्ञस्याकृष्टमुक्तस्य स्वभावेषूपमां विना ।
स्थितिः स्रग्दामकस्येव न संभवति काचन ॥ ३३ ॥

tajjñasyākṛṣṭamuktasya svabhāveṣūpamāṃ vinā |
sthitiḥ sragdāmakasyeva na saṃbhavati kācana || 33 ||

The nature of one who has known the truth, is not comparable with the state of a bent bow, which becomes straight after it is loosened;but to that of a curvilinear necklace, which retains its curvature, even after it is let loose on the ground.
