The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

एष एवैष आभासः सबाह्याभ्यन्तरात्मकः ।
आसमुद्रं नदीवाहशतसंघमयात्मकम् ॥ ३८ ॥

eṣa evaiṣa ābhāsaḥ sabāhyābhyantarātmakaḥ |
āsamudraṃ nadīvāhaśatasaṃghamayātmakam || 38 ||

The nature of the mind, with all its thoughts of internal and external objects, is of the same kind as that of the great ocean, which is full with the waters of its tributary rivers as well as those of the internal waters.
