The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अबहिःसाधनं शान्तमनन्तःसाधनं समम् ।
न सुखं नासुखं नाहं नान्यदित्यादि तं शिवम् ॥ ४९ ॥

abahiḥsādhanaṃ śāntamanantaḥsādhanaṃ samam |
na sukhaṃ nāsukhaṃ nāhaṃ nānyadityādi taṃ śivam || 49 ||

This state of perfection consists in refraining from external exercise and devotion, and persistence in continual meditation; feeling no sensation of pain or pleasure, and being unconscious of one's self-existence, and the co-existence of all others besides.
